Amanda Suzanne Evans is Founder and Director of Studies of Amasu Yoga School (AYS).
Amanda Suzanne Evans has been a teacher and therapist for over 30 years. Her background is in the arts, beginning as a professional dancer, she is also a writer and poet.
Amanda, also known as Ama Su, recently gained her “Elder” status with The Independent Yoga Network, 5000 hours and is continuing to study and research with The American Centre for Vedic Studies in Yoga, Ayurveda, Chanting and Mantra. Whilst holding a Yoga Therapist qualification with The British School of Yoga, Amanda also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Storytelling and Story Making in Therapy and Education. She studied yoga for three years with The British Wheel of Yoga, BWY, gaining a Yoga Teaching Diploma, 20 years ago. She has been a full time yoga teacher and therapist since then.
Amanda’s teachings and trainings are unique and richly inspired by her creative learning methodology©. AYS offer Yoga Teacher Training and Continued Professional Development, short courses and workshops. Amanda employs movement medicine, developed to enable embodiment of her teachings as well as, music and storytelling. This woven alchemy imbibes creative resource with asana practice assisting in making sense of classical Hatha yoga; theory, history, philosophy and Ayurveda.
